Arcadian Upholstery was formed in 1989. I started in Christchurch in 1988, and then my wife Leona and I decided that a change of lifestyle is what we were looking for. So we looked for and found a wonderful property in Scargill, North Canterbury the following year. I have now been working from Scargill for 17 years and have very much enjoyed living in a country environment. We named Arcadian Upholstery after the Greek 'Arcadia' which means:  'a country paradise'. Its not heaven, but we think you can see it from here.
